My progress so far - you would hardly believe that these are Tesco and Sainsbury plastic bags when knitted! I'm loving the process! thanks to
notmassproduced for the idea! My friend Jean has given me a big bag full of used plastic bags so I can keep going over the holidays. Next to knit is the blue stripe!

OMG! they really look cool in the pic! wish I could send the endless supply of plastic! I cruised your sidebar and you are a Quay Brothers Fan! I'm a total fan! I have a double set of DVD's that I watch at least once a week! and Anselm Kiefer is a painter who as really inspired me over the years and you are friends with Kate! enough!it's all too good!
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments - I'm loving this blogging thing and finding new friends! I haven't met with Kate yet but hope to in the New year when I deliver my plastic knitting to Henshaw's! As you say Jeanne it's all too good!!!
I have the Quay Bros DVD too and share it with a friend - we watch it regularly to inspire us (my friend is a storyteller and we do shadow puppets together and hope to film it at some stage) she is not a blogger I'm afraid but I can do that bit when the time comes!
I just started usung plastic bags, although lokin at yours I think my width may be quite bulky.
It does knit up well, dosen't it?
