Having my cake and eating it!!
I've spent the day in the studio and progressed with the book work for sub(missive) - 3 more envelopes made from milk cartons, photos show back and front in the same order. If you remember i am following instructions here
I'll continue adding to them but feel quite satisfied with them at the moment.........
then I had a piece of cake with a cup of tea, which I made yesterday from Ann's (Wild somerset child) recipe - it is truly delicious - thank you Ann! (and I remembered to use self raising flour!!
I'm having a day off tomorrow and going walking as I am getting cabin fevor! I hope the wind dies down a bit though, its been a wild day today!

Hi Rosie - okay, I'm following this project and enjoying what I'm seeing although I still don't understand what it's about and don't expect you to explain to this feeble old brain! the cake just looks plain yummy - that I do understand! mmmmmmm!
Milk cartons for books? Intriguing - what do you do to remove all trace of greasy milk residue? So glad the cake recipe worked OK for you - we have finally finished the dud one and I have put SR flour out on the kitchen table to avoid a similar disaster. Yours looks so tasty .. I really fancy a slice.
love these - u earnt the cake and a day out!
the book is looking great. and the well deserved cake as well!
I like what I see here...there is a "quietness" about it...maybe the colours, maybe the placement of the elements...dosent really matter, it's beautiful.
Cake looks good, I'm a bit of a cake fiend...may need to check recipe out further. I really appreciate your comments too... Jo :)
Dying to see what evolves with this project, although the instructions have beaten me and all I can think of is your lovely cake sitting at home alone while you are out on a hill with the wind swirling around you.
Remind me of a Ben Nicholson abstract - the envelopes from milk cartons, not the cake.
oh, i love these envelopes rosie... perfect... also seeing evidence of where you walked in the next post. i liked that very much. : )
Jeanne - don't think I understand either but don't really think it's necessary just doing what I want to do really!!
WSC - remember milk bottles? the same way - rinse well with cold water and then in warm soapy water - old methods work best!!
Jo - I hadn't thought about quietness in this 'communication' project so thank you - I must not make it too busy - when to stop is often the hardest choice for me - 'less is more' !!
Dave - what a great compliment - thank you
Luisa, Kate,Annie and Lynne - thank you so much for great support (especially with the cake eating!! ohps!)
