preparing for disintegration

It started with Seth and an old piece of rusty metalTHEN THIS- some 16mm found film footage and some film transparencies!
it quite obviously needed some paper!
And a bit of COLOUR "Why not some teabags and teabag paper" I thoughtand some string and stuff to tie it all up!! a collection was forming - I became excited
A bundle forming!
now to wrap it all up!
neally there! it's feeling playful - like pass the parcel!
finished and ready for the great outdoors!but first a dunking in some water with a squidge of bleach - just to get it going - oohh the colours are running...................tucked under the bay tree and in amongest some weeds - I might be tempted to peep now and again! added protection from the neighbouring cats! and there it waits until 1 May! I am very late starting this off but still it has 6 weeks to do it's disintegrating - will that be enough time I wonder - I'll start in the Autumn next time

YES! Great idea. I can't wait to see what happens with the passage of time. This activity is so connected to the themes I explore in my art. Why didn't I get this fantastic idea?

Wonderful! The skull just made me laugh over my cornflakes!

Like Jeane, I think, I noticed the last couple of dashboard feeds have come up blank for your posts - it was fine today, but the last few days I haven't been able to read your new posts.

Hey grrl+dog you got it!! of course you did! It takes a guerilla with banana!! and for those of you who are still a bit baffled Beltane is an ancient celtic festival and was when the herds were taken to their summer pastures (sheep's skull!!) I am not sure if Seth orginally chose this date because of the connection or if he mentioned it - might have missed that bit!

This was great to watch...I love your collection and the bleach was genius. I can't wait to see the disintegration in May...depends on the weather but it's a mystery until then!

Wow, you are a wild woman. What a packet with such great cat protection! In answer to your library card question, here's the answer in case you don't check back soon: Dear Rambling Rose, I'm sorry to hear the link doesn't work but very, very happy to hear you got your card. Yes, I've decided that I would love to have them back. At first I said "keep them" but I am so overwhelmed with happiness at the way they've rolled along so magnificently that I'd like to put them into a little book. I'll copy this on your blog too. - Jeanne
